THE HOTTEST TRENDS IN VIDEO PRODUCTION

The hottest trends in Video Production

It is all too easy to make a corporate video, which is similar to everyone else on the web. Here at Flashlight Television we like to think outside the box to provide you with a unique video tailored to your company and your own vision.

With filming technology becoming more advanced and in turn driving prices down this has opened up new means in the way we work within the film and tv industry.

One of our favourite trends is by using motion and there are a number of ways to achieve this and it doesn’t always have to be expensive.

Aerial Footage

Quadcopters with a Go Pro HD camera is an inexpensive way of adding higher production value to your corporate video.  There is no longer the need to hire a helicopter or plane to get an aerial shot, now videographers are using remote controlled drones and quadcopters to get the same effect and often better. Using this method you can get close to buildings and other small areas that a helicopter otherwise wouldn’t be able to reach.

Take a look at some of our recent aerial filming.

Timelapse

There is nothing better than a timeless time-lapse.  Whether that would be a dawn to day shot or a time-lapse of your company (a day in the life).  This look and shot can really make a difference within your video production.

For a great time-lapse shot the camera would normally be still on a tripod and left for a period of time, for example overnight. Then in the magic of post production the footage will be patched together to create a sense of movement and a sped up feel. It is also a great way of setting a scene.  In the last few years especially in USA TV drama, the way time-lapsing have changed and we have seen a new trend of shooting a time-lapse on a remote control track over a certain period.  It looks amazing!!!  Talk to us about this in more depth.

Sliders

Using a slider within your corporate video production can create a smooth movement focusing on a certain element. This method is commonly used on large scale productions and films, but is now available on smaller scale shoots by mounting the slider across tripods which creates a similar effect.

We use this technique within our corporate videos to really add to the production value of the piece.

Slow Motion

While slow motion isn’t a new technique, technology has made it easier to create slow mo effects within video production.

Slow motion can create emotion and lets you hold onto that moment a little longer. It can be done whilst shooting or can be just as easily applied in post production.

We often use this effect within our charity videos.

If you want to use some of these effects within your corporate video, get in touch by emailinfo@flashlighttv.co.uk or give us a call.
